Nottingham Forest gets rid of player

Although Leeds United hasn’t made any additions during the January transfer window, some unexpected transactions have already been completed.

This was in the shape of Djed Spence returning to Tottenham Hotspur, having had his season-long loan agreement terminated midway through following only seven Whites outings.

following missing two months of action due to injury and illness, Spence returned to action on New Year’s Day against Birmingham City, but his final appearance for Leeds supporters in a matchday squad came following a run of starts in December.

The loan arrangement was dissolved due to Spence’s attitude and lack of professionalism, as hinted by Leeds manager Daniel Farke. Despite this, United will continue to play without the Spurs player for the second half of the season.

Following Spence’s return to Tottenham, the Leeds management is considering possible full-back acquisitions; Josh Doig of Hellas Verona is one such player who has already been connected.

But according to Phil Hay of The Athletic, another player they have their eye on is Neco Williams, a versatile defender for Nottingham Forest who can play full-back, wing-back, or even as a winger.
