Running back for the Texas Longhorns Keilan Robinson revealed on Monday that he would forgo his last year of eligibility in favor of declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Along with Steve Sarkisian, Robinson, an explosive playmaker on offense and special teams, moved to Austin for three years, playing in 38 games with five career starts. Robinson was recruited from Alabama.
Throughout his time in burnt orange, Robinson amassed 542 rushing yards, 332 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns overall, including two on kickoff returns and one on punt blockage.
In addition, he was equally productive when covering special teams plays as when he had the ball in his hands.
For his skill on special teams at Texas, Robinson was recognized with several honors, including honorable mention Big 12 and All-Big 12.The year’s most offensive newcomer.The running back group will still have plenty of depth even with Robinson gone thanks to the return of Cedric Baxter, Jayden Blue, Savion Red, and Tre Wisner, as well as the acquisition of Christian Clark and Jerrick Gibson in the 2024 recruiting class.
