Sad news; They wont play again

Adam Reynolds suffered a preseason training injury that has shocked the Brisbane Broncos, and the team is now waiting for scan results.

It is believed that Reynolds sustained the injury during Monday morning’s workout with the Broncos, as the 2024 season gets closer just a few weeks before the start of the pre-season challenge.

Ben Davis of Channel 7 shared video of Reynolds limping off the field with club trainers and medical personnel on Twitter and X. As Reynolds walked off the training paddock, it seemed like he was unable to apply any pressure to his right ankle.

Fox Sports however have since had clarification from the club that the injury is believed to be “mild” in nature, although he has been sent for scans today to ascertain exactly what damage he has done to the ankle.

Reynolds may still participate in Brisbane’s preseason trial matches if he is deemed fit, but he may not play in both of Kevin Walters’ team’s games against the North Queensland Cowboys on February 18 and the Manly Sea Eagles on February 24 before leaving for the Sydney Roosters’ season opener in Las Vegas on February 24.

Reynolds was instrumental in Brisbane’s 2023 drive to the grand final, where they were defeated by the Penrith Panthers, so the Broncos will be anxious to have him ready for that match.
