Can Taylor Swift Make It From Her Tokyo Concert To Super Bowl?

Taylor Swift might be logging more miles soon, jetting from Tokyo to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas to catch boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl. With the Chiefs snagging a spot in the big game after beating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, it”ll be their fourth Super Bowl appearance in five years, facing off against the San Francisco 49ers at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 11.

Swift’s been a regular at Kelce’s games since they went public with their relationship, so odds are she”ll be there. But it won”t be a cakewalk. She’s got a show in Tokyo on Feb. 10, ending around 10 p.m. local time (5 a.m. Vegas time).

According to Rohita Kadambi on X (formerly Twitter), it’s doable, and “a West Wing episode from 2001 already answered this”:

Darren Rovell outlined a tight schedule: Swift wraps up in Tokyo at 5 p.m. local time, about 25 hours before kickoff.

“Taylor Swift performs in Japan the night before the Super Bowl. It will end around 10pm Tokyo time (5 am Las Vegas time). The flight from Tokyo to Vegas takes 12 hours, meaning Swift can arrive at 5pm local on the day before the Super Bowl, 25 hours, 35 mins before kickoff.”

Ian Rapoport broke it down further: Swift’s concert starts at 6 p.m. Tokyo time, which translates to 1 a.m. in Vegas. Assuming a five-hour show, she could catch a flight around 6 a.m. Vegas time, getting to the Super Bowl by 7 or 8 p.m. Saturday.

“She does have a concert on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. (local time) in Tokyo. How in the world could she get to the game? Let me introduce you to something called the international date line. Tokyo is 17 hours ahead, that means the (Saturday) concert starts at 1 a.m. Las Vegas time (on Saturday).”

“Let”s say it”s a five-hour concert, ends about 11 p.m. local time, which is 6 a.m. (on Saturday) in Las Vegas. Figure (there will be) a 12-hour flight, maybe she leaves about an hour later, Taylor Swift could still get to the Super Bowl in Vegas, about 7 or 8 p.m. on Saturday night, just in time to party.”
