Everton transfer news as movement expected before weekend
Alan Myers has shared that he expects to see some movement on the transfer front by this weekend at Everton, via his Twitter account.
When asked by an Everton fan whether he has any update as to what the club are up to with regard to transfers, Myers shared that there could be incomings and outgoings.
Everton have been slow in this transfer market, with the free signing of Ashley Young their only piece of business so far, as fans are beginning to worry about the state of the team.
Everton will need to start moving quickly
While the Toffees are far from the only Premier League club to be stalling over incoming transfers, their squad is one that definitely needs improvements before the beginning of the new Premier League season.
Everton will need to act on a few of their reported interests to bring in new signings, as the squad needs strengthening in a number of key positions if the club want to avoid another relegation scrap next season.
Players are needed up front due to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury record and Neal Maupay’s profligacy in front of goal, with moves for Nigerian striker Victor Boniface and Sheffield United star Iliman Ndiaye being rumoured.
Out wide, Dwight McNeil and Demarai Gray are the only recognised wing options, so reinforcements will be needed there with Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga top of their list, and Leeds duo Willy Gnonto and Jack Harrison also being watched.
If Everton want to build their squad and have their new arrivals acclimatised and integrated before the start of the season, they will have to move quickly.
