Manager Kieran McKenna has revealed that wideman Wes Burns is back in training and could be in the squad for this evening’s home game against his old club Bristol City, but his fellow Wales international Nathan Broadhead remains sidelined.
The duo suffered calf and thigh problems respectively during the 3-1 home victory over Birmingham City 10 days ago and missed Saturday’s 2-0 win at Plymouth Argyle.
“Nathan is not going to be available, he’s certainly not ready, but Wes trained yesterday and we’ll see how he is this morning,” McKenna told TownTV.
“We have one more session before the game and we’ll make a judgement after that.
“Everyone’s in good spirits and has recovered well from the weekend, so we’re looking forward to this game because we always enjoy playing under the lights at Portman Road.
“The boys are in this morning and we’ll go through our final preparation, with a really light session to prepare for the game. We’ll do everything we can to make sure we’re ready.”
Midfielder Massimo Luongo also missed Saturday’s game due to a viral infection and again seems set to miss out this evening.
