After just one season, a Sunderland player is expected to depart the team this summer.
It appears quite likely that Sunderland will appoint a permanent manager to succeed interim manager Mike Dodds, who has lost his first two games in charge.
Additionally, it appears that the playing staff will undergo significant changes as players like Dan Ballard, who is now attracting interest from Everton, and Jack Clarke, who appears destined to depart, will be replaced.
Bradley Dack, a midfielder, is another name that is currently being predicted to depart the Stadium of Light this summer.
Bradley Dack tipped to leave Sunderland after injury-riddled season
Dack, 30, was released by Blackburn Rovers and signed with Sunderland as a free agent in the summer of 2018.
However, this season, the Englishman has only made 12 appearances for Sunderland in the Championship, with one goal and one assist.
Due to an injury, he hasn’t played in 2024 yet, but it’s believed that he will soon be back in action.
Furthermore, Dack has now been classified as “likely to leave” by the Sunderland Echo, which wrote:
“Most of the season, the former Blackburn Rovers player has been sidelined by injury. The deal with Dack expires in June. Although Sunderland does have the option to extend that contract, it doesn’t seem likely right now.
Dack was a standout player for Blackburn Rovers in the 2018–19 season, helping the team win promotion from League One with 15 goals and seven assists. Tony Mowbray had previously called Dack a “genius” in the game of football.
However, Dack’s season was cut short the next season due to a cruciate ligament injury, which would be the first of two similar ailments that have afflicted Dack since. Mowbray would suffer a severe setback as a result..
