Aston Villa heavily favoured by….

In Colombia, Jorge Luis Pinto is considered a kind of institution in football management. The 71-year-old is unemployed at the moment, but over his career, he has held no fewer than 25 executive positions.

He has undoubtedly handled the Colombian national team, and some of those have been the same club—or even the same nation, in the instance of Costa Rica—multiple times.

During his interview with El Heraldo, a prominent Colombian daily, he brought up the subject of attackers for the national team. Naturally, that implied that he would be questioned about Jhon Jader Durán of Aston Villa.

This season, the 20-year-old has had difficulty getting minutes under Unai Emery, which has occasionally raised concerns in his own nation.

Jorge Luis Pinto disagrees, saying the young player will soon be making waves for Aston Villa and subsequently the country as a whole.

According to El Heraldo, he stated: “At this time, which Colombian striker do I admire the most? Durán appeals to me. Jhon Jader is the quintessential good center forward in just a single year. He’s going to start playing soon. He knows how to position himself, he has the punch, the positioning, and he heads better.

There we have it, backing from a management institution who is looking for his 26th job.
