Nicolò Zaniolo was signed by Aston Villa on a loan deal in the summer of last year, following his permanent transfer to Galatasaray. The Italy international has struggled to play regularly this season and has recently been the target of criticism from some Aston Villa supporters. The winger has been in the headlines in Turkey and Italy on a regular basis, even when he does not do anything wrong. Galatasaray beat out competition from Fenerbahçe to sign the 24-year-old from AS Roma in January 2023.
They have cited Fenerbahçe president Ali Koç, who expressed dissatisfaction with Galatasaray’s performance against the Yellow Canaries in the pursuit of the Aston Villa player’s signature.
“There is the Zaniolo problem as well. In a television program, a Galatasaray management revealed the offer we made to Zaniolo. This is typically illegal. “We took this to court because the player chose us, even though Fenerbahçe gave more,” he stated.
According to Fotospor, Fenerbahçe’s fixed charge was the only thing that set them apart from their regional competitors. They claim that Galatasaray gave the Serie A team €15 million, and that team is entitled to 20% of any proceeds from his future sale.
According to reports, Unai Emery’s team is required to grant the striker permanent residency provided specific requirements are fulfilled. According to recent rumors, Zaniolo is expected to leave Aston Villa and could be signed by a few Italian teams in the summer.
