Championship team of the week dominated by Birmingham City, Ipswich Town, and....- gallery

The second weekend of the Sky Bet Championship season brought about plenty of thrills and spills up and down the nation.

From Birmingham City earning a surprise 1-0 win over Leeds United in front of superstar investor Tom Brady to a 4-4 thriller between Southampton and Norwich City at St. Mary’s, there were major movements at both ends of the table.

It is of course still very early on in the campaign for supporters to get too excited or deflated depending on their side’s results, but there has been a good indication of how things could shape up for the next few matches.

In line with that, there have been some standout performers in the premature stages of 2023/24, many of whom impressed on the weekend just gone.
