Breaking:Football Star Defender Leaves for Transfer to…..READ MORE

The USC football team lost one of its top defenders to the transfer portal on Tuesday, making the move later than others. USC had one of the top offensive attacks in the nation the previous season, but its defense let up 34.4 points per game. Bear Alexander, a transfer from the Georgia Bulldogs and a former four-star recruit, performed admirably for the Trojans, ranking in the top six in terms of tackles, sacks, and TFLs. Unfortunately for the former Pac-12 team, Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports reports that Alexander will access the transfer site, indicating the conclusion of his brief tenure at USC.

The transfer site is hurting more than just USC. There was a lot going on Tuesday, with important players leaving clubs like the Oregon State Beavers and the Miami Hurricanes. With the announcement of his intention to depart Miami, edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly will be missed by the Hurricanes, and former 1,000-yard rusher Damien Martinez will be missed by the Beavers. The transfer portal era and NIL player empowerment are two further ways that collegiate football is being actively transformed.
