West Brom duo rewarded with March award nominations

Albion received two nominations for Championship manager and player of the month, demonstrating their appreciation for their performance in March.

Mikey Johnston, a Celtics player on loan, is vying for the player award, and head coach Carlos Corberan is up for the top boss award.

With three victories over Coventry, Huddersfield, and Bristol City in March, the Spaniard Corberan led his team to a five-game unbeaten streak as the Baggies pursued a play-off push.

Meanwhile, since arriving at The Hawthorns in January, winger Johnston has been a revelation in blue and white. He has scored four goals in three games, including spectacular efforts against Coventry and QPR, to earn recognition.

Corberan will face Kieran McKenna of Ipswich and Daniel Farke of Leeds, both of whom are vying for automatic promotion. Daniel Wagner of Norwich is the other contender.

Irishman Johnston will take on Leif Davis, the left back for Ipswich, Gabriel Sara, the midfielder for Norwich, and Ellis Simms, the forward for Coventry. Tomorrow, the winners will be verified.
