Welsh football match abandoned following death of supporter

It has been verified that a Flintshire football game was canceled due to the death of a fan.

On Tuesday, April 16, Holywell Town Football Club was playing Llanidloes Town at home in a JD Cymru North game.

At the Achieve More Stadium, Danny Andrews’ early goal put the Wellmen ahead 1-0.

A’medical emergency’ in the stands, however, forced the postponement of the game early in the second half.

Since then, Holywell Town FC has acknowledged that one of its “loyal supporters” tragically passed away in the incident.
