GASSAN ADHAME 

The forward played the full 90 minutes for Cambridge in their 2-1 home defeat to Stevenage, with former Town forward Jordan Roberts among the scorers for the visitors.

The U’s return to action this weekend as they host Bristol Rovers in League One, looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.

PANUTCHE CAMARA

The midfielder made it back-to-back 90 minutes as Charlton Athletic were beaten 2-1 at home to Bristol Rovers in League One, with the Gas scoring a 98th minute winner as former Town midfielder Grant Ward set up Luke McCormick to claim all three points.

The Addicks are back at The Valley on Saturday as they host Port Vale, looking to bounce back from back-to-back defeats.

IDRIS EL MIZOUNI 

The midfielder played the full 90 minutes for Leyton Orient in their 3-2 defeat at Wycombe Wanderers in League One, finishing the game with ten men after Dan Happe was given a straight red card in the 50th minute.

Richie Wellens’ side have had a tough start to life in the third tier, losing their opening three games. The O’s travel to Blackpool this weekend hoping to earn their first win of the 2023/24 season.

FORMER BLUES CORNER

Martyn Waghorn scored his first goal since returning to Derby County as they were beaten 2-1 by Oxford United at Pride Park in League One.

Josh Earl scored a late consolation for Fleetwood Town as they lost 3-1 at Bolton Wanderers as Ian Evatt’s side made it three straight wins to start the campaign.

Barry Cotter scored his first goal in senior football, but his opening strike for Barnsley was canceled out by Peterborough as they beat the Tykes 3-1 at Oakwell.

In other news, former Town defender Gareth McAuley has been named the manager of the Northern Ireland U19s, which is his first job in managemnt since retiring in 2019.

McAuley made over 100 appearances during his three year spell at Town and finished his career with spells at West Brom and Scottish giants Rangers.
