Good News for Kasi Football

Mpho “Blanka” Botha launched the ground-breaking My King K3 program in 2022 with the goal of bringing local talent from the streets to the international arena. The program’s objectives are to break the cycle of poverty and give young football players from townships the chance to follow their goals.Botha is aware of the difficulties young people in underprivileged areas experience because he was raised in Kempton Park and relocated to Alexandra in 2009 following the death of his mother. He has committed his life to improving the lives of others and has always been devoted to football, despite the odds.

Botha declared, “I think every child deserves an opportunity to chase their dreams and I am committed to making that happen. My King K3 program is not just about playing football; it’s about empowering young people and giving them a chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.”According to Botha, the program’s objective is to find and nurture gifted football players from townships and give them the instruction, direction, and mentorship they need to reach their dream of playing for teams abroad.

“This initiative aims to enable young players to realize their dreams of playing professional football by bridging the talent-opportunity gap.”With several gifted players securing trials with the elite club Saint George in the USA, the program has already achieved great progress.”I have already brought three boys to play for Saint George, one of the elite clubs in the United States.” I’m currently getting ready to travel to Europe, to Switzerland, to play for the Winterveld Club, with twenty players. Knowing that these young lads are representing South Africa is an amazing feeling, and I’m looking forward to seeing what these young players’ futures contain,” Botha remarked..

He continued by saying that he doesn’t follow any set process when deciding which players to send abroad; instead, he simply scouts players during competitions to identify those with the ability to play for other teams.According to Botha, he is still dedicated to realizing his goal of bringing regional talent from townships to the international scene.”My King K3 is talking about transforming young people’s lives, not simply football. granting these young people the opportunity to positively impact their communities and seeing to it that their aspirations of playing for major league teams abroad are realized.
