Buckingham Group may not be a name familiar to everybody, but Blues they have been a prominent figure at St Andrews over the course of the summer. Buckingham Group were appointed in April to oversee and complete the structural work in the lower areas of the Tilton and Kop stands.
The group made a statement yesterday informing the Club that is has filed for a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
Whilst there is no current confirmation that all undergoing projects will be completed, it can be assumed that if workers will not be paid, they will not be completing any work.
In a statement made by the Club yesterday, Blues have stated “the Club has and continues to hold emergency meetings with a range of experts to understand and assess the potential impact of Buckingham Group’s disappointing news”.
I can imagne Garry Cook and the team will be working tirelessly to ensure either Buckingham Group can complete the outstanding the project they were contracted to or we will be looking to acquire the services of another independent contractor as soon as possible to ensure no further delays to the work.
I have full confidence in the new leadership team to find a solution to this so we can all get back to a complete, sold out St Andrews as soon as possible.
