Albon predicts Magnussen to be ‘bigger pain’ after F1 ban
Alex Albon has suggested Kevin Magnussen will be an “even bigger pain” with his penalty point tally reset to zero following his recent race ban.
Magnussen served a race ban at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last month after accumulating 12 penalty points across a 12-month period.
The Dane has generated a reputation during his career as one of the most ruthless on-track drivers and has often deployed aggressive defensive tactics in the ppast.
The topic of penalty points has been under discussion of late with many drivers opting to defend Magnussen in light of his one-race dismissal.
With Magnussen’s F1 future beyond the current season under serious doubt, Albon has suggested the 32-year-old will deploy an even more aggressive strategy going forward.
“If he was a pain before, he’s going to be an even bigger pain now,” Albon said jokingly to media including RacingNews365.
“But that’s just the way it is. We have spoken about it in driver briefings, with the FIA.”
