‘Report’ – Player to have Fulham medical ‘this morning’, official announcement likely on Tuesday

Earlier this month, Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedullà reported Leicester City’s Timothy Castagne had received an offer from Fulham and an unnamed French club.

Juventus have also been credited with interest in the 27-year-old, who is now set to join the Premier League side.

That’s according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who says ‘agreement reached’ between Fulham and Leicester for £15m including bonuses for the fullback’s transfer.

Tavolieri adds the Belgium international is expected to complete his medical ‘this morning’ and then sign a four-year deal with Marco Silva’s side.

Even though the former Atalanta man should carry out the transfer formalities today, the journalist states the deal is likely to be made official on Tuesday.

Earlier claims from Tavolieri and the Italian media had insisted the Leicester player was favouring a switch to Juve but they didn’t take the necessary steps to sign him.

This has allowed Fulham to take the lead and they’re now edging towards getting a deal over the line for the defender.

L’Avenir also state the Leicester defender is ‘on his way to London’ to complete a move to Fulham. They add ‘everything is settled’ and Castagne only has to sign his contract with Silva’s side, which should happen later today or on Tuesday.

Castagne, who can operate on both sides of defence, has managed five goals and eight assists from 112 games since he joined Leicester in 2020.
