FOSTER HONOURS HIS PARENTS WHO SUPPORTED HIS DREAM

Burnley and Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster paid tribute to his parents who made huge sacrifices in support of his dreams of becoming a professional footballer.

Foster’s story en-route to the Premier League has been nothing short of remarkable, after beginning his professional football journey with Orlando Pirates in 2017. After various stints with clubs such as Monaco, Cercle Brugge, Vitoria de Guimaraes and Westerlo, Foster now finds himself with Vincent Kompany’s Burnley in the Premier League.

“Obviously, my father was always there and sacrificed a lot, as well as my mother. They both played big roles in my life,” Foster told journalists, as per Far Post.

“My mother had to go to work while my father was driving me around [to training sessions] with my sister. I think it was a perfect relationship.

“They are still my biggest support structure even today. When I feel like things aren’t going my way, they’re the first people I try to contact.”
