Before the match with Manchester City, Nottingham Forest’s manager delivers an update on Orel Mangala’s injury.

Orel Mangala, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, would likely need to miss some time due to a hamstring injury.
After receiving treatment on the pitch, the summer acquisition was pulled off last week’s 1-1 draw at Everton and was replaced by Ryan Yates after 55 minutes. Additionally, he had no part in Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur.
Boss Steve Cooper claims that the 24-year-old’s injury is “not serious” and that he is already making progress in his recuperation. The Reds are also without defenders Moussa Niakhate (hamstring) and Omar Richards (leg hairline fracture) as they get ready to go to Manchester City on Wednesday night.
Cooper described Mangala’s ailment as a hamstring strain and said it was not serious. It’s still not entirely certain when he will return, but it will probably be in the next several days or weeks.
“Since it’s a hamstring, we need to be a little bit cautious, but I saw him running on the grass yesterday with the physios, not with us. That represents progress in his healing.
“At the end of the week, we’ll assess our progress with it. The sooner he can return and be useful to us, the better.
We are exactly where we were prior to the Spurs game. With three games, it will be a busy week; in fact, it will be more like a championship week. But we’re excited about it.
Forest has four points after their first four games entering the match at the Etihad Stadium. They played well against Spurs over the weekend, but were defeated by a pair of goals from Harry Kane. On Saturday at the City Ground, Bournemouth will be the next opponent after City.
