Ryan Yates, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, will not play against Leeds United on Tuesday night because of an injury that further restricts head coach Steve Cooper’s choices.
The shoulder injury that forced the 25-year-old to leave the 2-1 loss to Newcastle United prior to the break has kept him out of action. Serge Aurier, a right defender, and Gustavo Scarpa, a midfielder, both missed out on the previous match and are questionable for the midweek contest.
The Reds are one point above the bottom three heading into the midweek meeting at Elland Road after their 2-2 draw on Saturday. The struggle for survival is one of the closest in recent memory, with Leeds only one point behind them.
