On Monday Night Football, the New England Patriots defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27–13. The Cardinals drop to 4-9 while the Patriots move up to 7-6.

The snap count breakdown from the game will help us understand how New England used its talent in the primetime game.

This week, Mac Jones and the entire offensive line again played flawlessly together. Yodny Cajuste was benched in favor of Conor McDermott, who was added from the New York Jets practice squad just three weeks prior.

With 29, Kevin Harris led the running back group in snaps, which resulted in his first touchdown of the season. With 19 snaps, Pierre Strong Jr. saw extended action for the first time and also hit pay dirt. Rhamondre Stevenson was only able to play 13 snaps due to an ankle injury that kept him in and out of the game.

Nelson Agholor, who played 57 of the 59 possible snaps, took charge of the wide receiver room. Kendrick Bourne and Tyquan Thornton both managed 42, and they were not far behind with 52. Marcus Jones played eight snaps and is still perceived as a part of the offense.

This week, the tight end splits were much closer, with Hunter Henry playing 39 snaps compared to Jonnu Smith’s 28. Smith finished with zero grabs, while Henry had three.

With 48 snaps, Deatrich Wise Jr. led the defensive front. After Davon Godchaux (39 snaps), Daniel Ekuale (38 snaps) received his first sack of the year.

Ja’Whaun Bentley, who is still having a good year, played linebacker for 60 snaps. Josh Uche also caused disruption in his 48 snaps, recording three sacks, while Matthew Judon recorded a sack and a half in his 54 snaps. Playing 41 snaps, Jahlani Tavai had one of the game’s biggest plays on a fourth-down pass break up. Despite playing just 19 downs, Raekwon McMillan managed to score and record a scoop. For this game, Jamie Collins Sr. was added to the playing roster from the practice squad.

With 75 snaps, Jonathan Jones led all cornerbacks; due to injuries, Marcus Jones had to step up and played 67 defensive downs. In the slot, Myles Bryant also recorded 47. Jack Jones’ knee problem forced him to leave the game after just eight snaps.

The two New England players with the most safety snaps, Kyle Dugger and Devin McCourty, finished with 64 total. Late in the game, McCourty had to leave the game due to an injury, but he should be OK going forward. Jabrill Peppers and Adrian Phillips, who played 38 and 31 snaps, respectively, also continue to see significant roles.
