Burnley fans split on new away kit as some ‘like it’ but others slam ‘absolute stinker’

The kit unveil has produced a mixed reaction among Clarets online. Here’s just a selection of comments taken from social media:

Burnley released their new away kit on Tuesday morning and it has provoked a response from supporters.

Pictures emerged on social media from fans as the shirt appeared to be already up in the club shop at Turf Moor. The Clarets have now officially launched the kit this morning.

The shirt is yellow with claret cuffs and a black and claret line on the left-hand side of the front, as well as the club’s new W88 sponsor on the front. The shorts are black and the socks are yellow.

It is a big departure from last year’s away shirt, which was turquoise and had claret cuffs, as well as a different shirt sponsor in EMA. The new kit being released have provoked a response from supporters.

The Clarets supporters will have quite a wait to see it in action in a competitive game. After pre-season the first game back in the Premier League away from Turf Moor where the Clarets could don the strip will be away to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on the evening of Monday, September 18.

And Clarets supporters have taken to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, and recently renamed to X by new owner Elon Musk, to have their say on the new away offering. It has provoked a strong mixed response with comments ranging from liking the shirt, to dubbing it an ‘absolute stinker’.
