PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Montravius Adams left his team’s game against the Tennessee Titans in the first quarter with a right ankle injury.
The Steelers announced that Adams suffered a right ankle injury and that he is out for the game.the help of team trainers and was taken to the medical tent on the Pittsburgh sideline.

Adams was replaced as the team’s starting nose tackle by rookie Keeanu Benton. Adams has started all eight games for the Steelers this season and was key in replacing defensive captain Cam Heyward while he missed time following core muscle surgery. Heyward returned on Thursday.
In addition to Benton, ends Isaiahh Loudermilk and DeMarvin Leal are the other defensive linemen active for Thursday’s game. Nose tackle Breiden Fehoko and defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk were both healthy scratches.
Through seven games, Adams has recorded 21 tackles, two for a loss, and one forced fumble. A 28-year-old Auburn alum, the Steelers signed him from the New Orleans Saints practice squad in 2021. He played five games for the Steelers in 2021 and in all 17 last season, making nine starts as the team’s primary nose tackle.
