NOV 12 TRE JONES DOWNGRADED Just an hour and a half prior to tipoff against the Miami Heat at Frost Bank Center, the San Antonio Spurs announced more grim news.

Tre Jones has been downgraded to OUT for Sunday evening’s game. The point guard is still dealing with right-hamstring tightness, which has rendered him unable to play.

Now, the Spurs will look to Jeremy Sochan even more as they prepare to square off against Miami.

Tipoff from San Antonio is set for 6 p.m. CST.

NOV 11 TRE JONES QUESTIONABLE VS. HEAT The San Antonio Spurs are preparing to face the Miami Heat on Sunday, and they may do so without point guard Tre Jones.

The team announced that Jones is questionable to play against the Heat with hamstring tightness.

The Heat and Spurs face off at the Frost Bank Center at 6 p.m. CST.

NOV 6 KELDON QUESTIONABLE VS. PACERS The San Antonio Spurs could be without another starter as they take on the Indiana Pacers this evening.

The Spurs announced that forward Keldon Johnson has a sore wrist and is questionable for tonight’s game against the Pacers.

Johnson suffered the injury in Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors, where he scored a team-high 26 points in 38 minutes during an overtime loss.

Perhaps on a back-to-back the Spurs will be more cautious with Johnson, but having him sit out would be a big loss for San Antonio.

The Spurs and Pacers are set to tip off at 6 p.m. CT inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

NOV 3 VASSELL HURTS GROIN San Antonio Spurs guard Devin Vassell injured his left groin in the first half of Thursday’s 132-121 win over the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center and didn’t return to the game.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said after the game that Vassell will get an MRI due to left groin tightness and that he expects him to miss time.

“He’ll get an MRI tomorrow (Friday), and I’d imagine we’ll lose him for a little while,” Popovich said.

Popovich said that Vassell tested his groin out in an attempt to return to the game, but was unable to play on it.

“The groin is one of those things where it can take a while, and he wasn’t sure he thought he could play,” Popovich said. “But I told him go out there and warm it up and to be honest with me if it loosened up, how it felt, and he said he just couldn’t go on it.”
