Spence’s game plan has been revealed ahead of the match against …..

Leeds United are hoping to reintegrate Djed Spence back into first team training over the course of the international break.

Djed Spence has been out of action since September with a knee injury.

According to Leeds Live, there is some optimism that he could feature in the team’s next game after the November international break.

Spence has been absent through injury since suffering a knee injury during training in September.

It was initially expected that he would be absent for eight weeks, as the damage to his lateral collateral ligament did not require surgery.

It is now hoped that he can feature against Rotherham United later this month as Daniel Farke begins planning to integrate him back into first team training.

Spence signed for the Whites as part of a season-long loan agreement with Tottenham Hotspur.

The defender made his debut in a 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday back in September, coming off the bench in the closing stages of the Yorkshire derby.

However, he has yet to make a first start for the club since making the summer switch, with injury preventing him from playing any further.

Spence is one of six players currently absent through injury, with the likes of Sam Byram, Stuart Dallas, Jamie Shackleton, Pascal Struijk and Joe Gelhardt also on the sidelines.

The November international break has afforded all of these players additional recovery time, with Leeds not set to compete again for nearly two weeks.

It is hoped that Byram will be back in action again soon, with Dallas set to continue individual training ahead of a return to full first team practice sessions.

Farke is also planning on integrating Shackleton and Gelhardt back into first team training ahead of the clash with the Millers at the end of the month.

Leeds are currently third in the Championship table, chasing promotion to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The gap to the automatic promotion places is now nine points after 16 games.

Leeds have won their last three in a row, including an impressive 1-0 victory away to league leaders Leicester City.

The Foxes have lost their last two games in a row, having also suffered a 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough, which has allowed the Yorkshire outfit to close the gap at the top of the second division standings.

Leeds still have plenty of clubs breathing down their necks outside the top six, with the gap to seventh currently five points.

Next up for the Whites is a clash away to Rotherham on 24 November.
