Alabama Football: The most recent updates on Crimson Tide and Dawgs injuries
Georgia has an advantage in the Alabama football injury issue. The game will be missed by more crucial Crimson Tide players than by Georgia players. The Bulldogs lost the game due to past ailments, and the roster has been settled without them for quite some time.
Tight end Brock Bowers is Georgia’s current injury worry. Bowers was effective in the SEC Championship game against Alabama. He has a nagging injury that will not prevent him from playing.
Georgia will have “its healthiest team yet” Monday night, according to Dawn of the Dawg. What has Georgia football supporters so excited is the idea that George Pickens is now capable of making a significant effect on the game. Pickens has returned from a knee injury, and many Georgia supporters believe he will have a breakout game against Alabama’s thin secondary.
Kendall Milton’s return to form is another positive for the Bulldogs. In the Dawgs’ running back depth chart, Milton is behind Zamir White and James Cook. He was able to play against Michigan, and his inclusion in the lineup on Monday night offers the Dawgs an advantage.
Injuries to Alabama Football Players
The injury situation for the Crimson Tide may be worse. It might possibly be far better. The Bulldogs will undoubtedly be the fitter team. The best news for the Crimson Tide is that Brian Robinson Jr. is fully healthy, and Trey Sanders is rounding into shape, as seen by his performance against Cincinnati. The good news for the Tide is that Chris Owens’ ankle injury will not keep him out of the game. It has to be seen whether this will make the Tide’s right tackle less effective.
Emil Ekiyor’s shoulder injury is not likely to prevent him from playing. Ekiyor’s teammates believe his toughness will carry him through, but a shoulder injury is difficult for an offensive lineman. Backup J.C. Latham has worked hard to prepare for what could be the biggest game of his brief Crimson Tide career on Monday night. Latham performed admirably against Cincinnati, but the Bearcats and the Dawgs are not comparable.
Along with Josh Jobe and John Metchie III, Jaylin Armour-Davis is not expected to play against Georgia. Nothing official has been released on JAD’s status, but Alabama football insiders and comments from teammates indicate Khyree Jackson and Kool-Aid McKinstry will be the starting corners Monday night. Though unconfirmed, a repeated rumor is Demarcco Hellams, who has battled injuries all season, will play hurt again, against the Dawgs.
