Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma will jet out from Switzerland into Liverpool this week to complete his medical ahead of signing for Everton, claim Marca.
The Spanish media outlet [20 July], that he will leave Villarreal’s training camp as he looks set to move to Goodison Park on loan.
There will be no option or obligation to buy and it will be a straight loan deal for the 26-year-old Netherlands international.
Nobody would’ve thought that after ditching the Toffees at the last minute in January, he would be in a similar situation this summer.
It seemed like everyone at Goodison Park had moved on from the pursuit of the Dutchman, but that’s not the case.
Sean Dyche does seem to appreciate Danjuma and so does the Toffees hierarchy and it may be water under the bridge over what happened six months ago.
The fans might not give him the best reception initially but once he starts performing for Everton, things are likely to change.
It’s hard to blame him for picking a team fighting for Champions League places over one battling relegation, but it was the manner of his move.
Everything appeared to be done and dusted until Spurs came in at the last minute and secured his services.
