Chelsea manager Pochettino determined to get transfer business done as soon as possible.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is determined to close his squad and get players in as soon as possible in the United States.
The Blues have only brought in Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Malo Gusto all summer despite selling almost 10 players including captain Cesar Azpilicueta and midfielder N’Golo Kante amongst others.
They have looked bright so far with a 5-0 thumping of League Two side Wrexham in their first game and will step it up against Premier League rivals Brighton later today in Philadelphia.
And the new boss who is expected to name his captain after preseason says he would love to have more in through the door as soon as possible to help with preparations.
He is quoted by the Evening Standard: “It is clear that any coach would want to close the squad as soon as possible.
“If it’s possible, yes bring the player here to the USA. If not, it’s not a problem. I’m happy with how we are working in this process to improve the squad.
“The sporting directors, the board are working so hard to bring the right people and right players and profile to the squad. I’m so happy with the way they are working.”
