Middlesbrough is on Team Focus for 23/24.

AS THE return of Sky Bet Championship football edges ever closer, we are taking an in-depth look at all 23 opponents that QPR will be coming up against throughout the 2023/24 season.

Next up are Michael Carrack’s free-flowing Middlesbrough side, who will be eyeing up promotion this year after falling short in the play-offs in 2022/23.

Boro have been active in the transfer market as they look to hit the ground running in ’23/24, with QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng among those recruited by Carrack for their latest Championship assault.

Rangers first come up against Boro on Saturday 2nd September at the Riverside Stadium, before locking horns in W12 on Saturday 9th March 2024.

Many links exist between QPR and Middlesbrough – in addition to Boro’s summer capture of Dieng. The likes of Don Masson (pictured), Emmanuel Ledesma, Grant Hall and Joe Lumley have all turned out for both teams.

Founded in 1876, Boro have played at the Riverside since 1995 after relocating from their former home of Ayresome Park, which they had played at for 92 years.

Middlesbrough were a founding member of the Premier League in 1992 and then became one of the first clubs to be relegated from it following the 1992/93 season.

Boro’s finest moment came in 2004 when they won their one and only major trophy, the League Cup. They also reached the UEFA Cup final in 2006 where they were beaten 4-0 by a formidable Sevilla side.
