Turkish outlet Yenicag claim RB Leipzig star Yussuf Poulsen only has one offer on the table at the moment, and it is from Leeds United – with the Dane keen on a move to England. But Trabzonspor have been given the ‘green light’.
Poulsen, 29, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Leipzig – after 11 years with the Bundesliga outfit, clocking up a massive 358 games. The 70-time Denmark star has scored 85 goals, laying on another 63 assists.
But his game time dramatically reduced last summer. Just four starts, 28 appearances in total. Timo Werner, Andre Silva and Benjamin Sesko sat ahead of him in the pecking order. Leipzig have just signed Loic Openda from Lens.
While he is versatile – he can play out wide or as a second striker – Poulsen is fifth-choice up top. With his contract dwindling, he needs a move. The Mail say Leeds are considering a move to sign the striker, in an ambitious move.

But the latest report delivers an update. It says that Poulsen wants to move to England – but Leeds are the only side to have tabled a bid and given our relegation, that has seen Poulsen expand his search for a new club. Trabzonspor.
They have been given the green light to make an approach for Leipzig’s no.9. Poulsen is said to be perfectly happy staying at Leipzig, who are in next season’s Champions League. But a good offer and he could be on his way.
It is unclear what Poulsen thinks about a potential move to Turkish side Trabzonspor, and whether it is more enticing than a move to Elland Road. It is a tricky one, but it looks as if Leeds are going to fall behind in the race for Poulsen.
