Report: Dom has been named a Benefit Mankind ambassador!

Rovers defender Dom Hyam has been named as the new club ambassador for Benefit Mankind.

Based in our town, at the Blackburn Enterprise Centre, the charity provides vital aid and support to projects in over 15 countries across the globe, with the aim of improving lives, alleviating poverty, and transforming and empowering local communities, whilst championing humanity, impartiality and independence.

The partnership is set to continue for a third successive season, with Hyam following in the footsteps of Bradley Johnson and Bradley Dack in becoming the latest ambassador for the charity.

Throughout the course of the season, Benefit Mankind, the club’s official charity partner, will benefit from fundraising and awareness activities, with Hyam now at the heart of the efforts.

Dr Mulla, Chief Executive of Benefit Mankind, says the organisation are delighted to be continuing the affiliation with the club, with plenty of opportunities set to arise throughout 2023-24, as he explains.

“With the support from Rovers and the reach we have together, we can save lives and help people together,” he said.

“We’ve managed to reach out to more people over recent years, especially during the COVID times and in the current cost of living crisis.

“So many families are struggling and we receive so many calls and emails every day regarding families that require food parcels. We’re looking forward to a fruitful season ahead with Dom and we can’t wait to work with him.

“The ambassadors we’ve had before Dom, in Bradley Johnson and Bradley Dack, have made a huge impact with the work we do, and we hope that can continue with Dom to make a difference.

“As the slogan says with our charity, the best of mankind are those who benefit mankind. Together, let’s do that and help people around the world.”

Dom added: “I’m delighted to be the new ambassador for a charity that does so much for so many people.

“Ever since I joined Rovers just under a year ago, it’s been clear to me just how much work the club does in our local community.

“Having researched Benefit Mankind when I knew I was going to be the ambassador, I never realised just how much of an impact they have not just in our local area, but around the world.

“I’m really looking forward to us coming together throughout the season and making a great team to help others that perhaps aren’t as fortunate.”
