Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as Cole Palmer remains of interest for Foxes.
Pep Guardiola has hinted at outgoings for some members of his Manchester City squad – loans or otherwise – amid reports of Leicester City interest in Cole Palmer.
New Leicester manager Enzo Maresca has identified the midfielder as a replacement for Youri Tielemans, who left on the expiration of his contract last month.
But it is proving to be difficult to secure a deal for Palmer, even for former Man City assistant boss Maresca, with a number of other teams also interested in the supremely talented youngster.
Burnley and Brighton have also been alert to Palmer’s situation, and the Seagulls have reportedly held talks with the reigning champions over a deal.
Palmer played a part in City’s treble success last season and has recently returned from his post-Euros break to join Guardiola and Co for pre-season.
Guardiola is yet to make a decision on his players who have returned from loans or whether any first-teamers will head out again next terrm, including Palmer.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Guardiola said: “Every player is every player, it’s numbers in the squad, the market is open until the end of August. We are not looking for a replacement for Riyad [Mahrez] in terms of skill because every player is different
