Crystal Palace attacker Michael Olise would rather join Chelsea than Manchester City this summer.
That is according to a report from RMC Sport.
The French publication claims that Michael Olise, 21, would have a slight preference to join Chelsea over recent treble winners Man City amid interest from both clubs.
It is explained that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have made a verbal offer worth around €30million (£26million) for the Palace winger, but they’re waiting for an update on his current hamstring injury.
The report adds says that Chelsea and Olise do already have an agreement in principle regarding personal terms, too.
Interestingly, Gianluca Di Marzio recently reported that Chelsea plan to use Olise in a No 10 position next season if he comes to Stamford Bridge.
Man City may be able to offer Champions League football and a route to a constant stream of silverware, but Chelsea still have a certain pull even without any European football this season.
Olise seems destined for a high-profile transfer in the near future after a couple of eye-catching seasons at Palace.
The French trickster is a huge creative threat drifting infield from the right wing on his favoured left foot.
We think there’s so much potential for him to grow into one of the best forward players in the Premier League as well.
Olise ticks most of the boxes when you’re comparing him to Chelsea’s transfer targets in the past year.
He’s a super young talent, like so many of the new Blues recruits. The main difference is that he’s proven he can do it at Premier League level, though.
Axel Disasi became the latest Frenchman to join an ever-growing French contingent at at Stamford Bridge, too.
