Aston Villa ‘are interested’ in Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati, according to claims in Spain.
Journalist Jose Alvarez Haya, who works for television outlet El Chiringuito, reckons both Villa and Tottenham have been offered a €50million deal for the exciting winger.
The 20-year-old has been limited to just half an hour of La Liga action so far this season, two appearances off the bench against Getafe and Cadiz.
Sport Witness reckon Marca have added to the story today and suggested the left winger has been ‘reduced to a secondary role’ – although it is not known whether he wants to leave the Catalan giants.
It is also not clear whether Barca would be looking for a loan or a permanent deal but it is thought they need to make space in their budget for further signings.
Fati has made more than one hundred appearances for Barcelona – and scored 29 goals since moving to the club from Seville more than a decade ago In 2019 he made his debut as a 16-year-old and has since been regarded as one of the rising stars of world football. He has won nine caps for Spain and played in last season’s World Cup in Qatar.
