Club think Tottenham Hotspur about to bid for their ‘very dangerous’ player

Nottingham Forest reportedly think that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur will bid for Brennan Johnson in the final days of the summer transfer window.

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Brennan Johnson from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Brentford are also claimed to be keen on Johnson.

The Sun has reported that Forest officials “are bracing themselves for an offer to come from Spurs ahead of the transfer window shutting later this week”.

Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou personally wants to sign the 22-year-old forward, according to the report.

The Sun has claimed that Forest value the Wales international at £50 million.

Johnson is very highly rated, with former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey describing his compatriot as a “very dangerous” player who is “very rapid” and “poses a threat in behind” in NottinghamshireLive in June 2023.

Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Brennan Johnson from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are a bigger club than Forest, and a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be hugely appealing to Johnson.

While Spurs are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, Forest’s main objective this campaign will be to avoid the dreaded drop to the Championship.

Johnson has made 41 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Wales international forward has scored eight goals and provided three assists in those games.

It remains to be seen if Spurs would be willing to pay £50 million for the 22-year-old in the final days of the summer transfer window.
