Wolves under-21s begin their 2023/24 EFL Trophy campaign with a trip to face Notts County on Tuesday evening.
James Collins’ side are in Group G alongside the Magpies, Derby County and Lincoln City, and will play all three fixtures away from home as one of the 16 invited academy teams.
Last season, Wolves were able to progress from the group stage after victories over Shrewsbury Town and Stockport County before being knockout out on penalties by Manchester United under-21s.
Notts County, under the leadership of Luke Williams, regained their place back in the EFL following promotion via the National League play-offs last season.
They have enjoyed a strong start to life back in the fourth tier and currently sit in second place, only trailing leaders Gillingham by a point.
Since a heavy opening day defeat at Sutton United, Notts have bounced back in some style – winning four and drawing two of their following six league matches.
The Magpies have defender Oliver Tipton in their ranks, however the on-loan Wolves youngster is ineligible to face his parent club.
Wolves supporters will be housed in block Y2 of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand, which is clearly marked for away fans on the ticketing platform.
EFL Trophy fixtures will be streamed live by the home club on their iFollow account, whether you’re in the UK or overseas.
