During the most recent PL matches, a Nottingham Forest star was superior to him in one area.

Ibrahim Sangare, a new signing for Nottingham Forest, may have had a subpar start by his normal standards, but he was still very highly rated in certain significant categories.

The 30-million-pound player shared the top spot throughout the most recent round of Premier League games after surpassing former Red Matty Cash in tackles won and interceptions made.

With five tackles won and three interceptions made, Sangare is tied for eighth place with Lewis Cook of Bournemouth, Cheick Doucoure of Crystal Palace, and Joao Gomes of Wolves.

Cash had one more tackle than Sangare but two fewer interceptions, which dropped him in this weekend’s rankings below the defensive midfielder.

Ibrahim Sangare made a strong debut.
Despite the Ivorian’s excellent start on Monday, Forest fans still expected more from the £30 million transfer fee.

Sangare is playing in England’s top division for the first time, similar to Gonzalo Montiel, thus it will surely take some time for the midfielder to adjust and catch up with the league.

The 25-year-old appeared to be growing weary towards the end, but earlier on, he and Orel Mangala seemed to be forming a solid partnership.

Sangare is also noteworthy since he frequently serves as the deepest member in a three-man midfield.

With Mangala and Sangare as his two holding midfielders, Steve Cooper chose a formation that the Ivorian may need some time to get used to.

Despite everything, he still managed to produce some positive moments and showed just how talented he is. His performance should inspire optimism among Forest supporters.

It’s frightening to think about how good he’ll be in the coming weeks if he continues to put on performances like the one he did on Monday before he’s really acclimated to the club.
