He’s grown into the game, just like Burnley have

The 19-year-old winger occasionally tore Nottingham Forest to pieces during Monday’s thrilling 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

The Italian Under-20 international, who transferred from Espanyol to Turf Moor in the summer for a rumored £2.3 million fee, played a key role in the game’s opening goal, outpacing Joe Worrall by the sideline before seeing Zeki Amdouni expertly finish his pullback.

Due to Koleosho’s commanding performance on the left wing, Forest manager Steve Cooper was forced to replace Argentina’s World Cup-winning full-back Gonzalo Montiel early in the second half.

Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy, who was commentating on the game for talkSPORT, was undoubtedly impressed by Koleosho’s performance.

At halftime, presenter Adrian Durham said, “He tormented Montiel in the first half.”

Given what we’ve seen in the first half, he might be the deal of a lifetime.

Murphy said, “He’s grown into the game, just like Burnley have.

“But what he’s got is wonderful pace, a willingness to run without the ball into space which you always need but not every winger wants to do that. When you’ve got those two attributes, you’re a problem.

“He’s happy to go on his left and go inside, he’s a real problem for the full-back. He looks completely free, he looks like he’s really enjoying himself.”
