Ben Reeves of Gillingham and Matty Longstaff of Colchester United were both hurt during a League 2 game; Lewis Walker of Gillingham was also sidelined.
Following his injury on Boxing Day, Gillingham boss Neil Harris worries that midfielder Ben Reeves will miss the remainder of the campaign.
After visiting player Matty Longstaff slipped on the Priestfield pitch and departed the field on a stretcher with what appeared to be a serious knee injury, Reeves was taken off early in the second half of Gills’ game against Colchester United.
Some of the players “absolutely melted,” according to Gills manager Harris, who also predicted that Ben’s season was gone. The two men who were taken off the pitch suffered serious injuries, and my best wishes are with them for a quick recovery.
Reeves got hurt early in the second half of a dismal Gills performance.
