INJURY UPDATE: Four alterations as a result of injury updates from Daniel Farke

When Leeds United plays Watford in the Championship on September 24 at Elland Road, the starting lineup might include up to four different players.

The German said that Wilfried Gnonto’s injury has prompted him to reshuffle the middle of defence following Joe Rodon’s dismissal.

On Friday, when asked if Charlie Cresswell or Liam Cooper would take his position, he responded that he already had two excellent left-footed centre backs who could also play together.

However, a right-left combination will be simpler to use because Cresswell started the season and is not injured.

He will therefore be joining Pascal Struijk on the right side of defence for this match.

He just signed a long-term contract, so it’s possible that he would have requested guarantees regarding playing time.

Sam Byram will replace Jamie Shackleton, the left-back who started the 0-0 draw with Hull City, in that position.
This game could see Archie Grey, a first-team regular this season, take a break as Glen Kamara makes his league debut. This is likely because Grey will have been worn out.

Dan James might go to the left wing, where he has proven dangerous, while Jaidon Anthony, who was signed on the final day of the transfer window, could start on the right.

Four lineup changes are expected because Farke wants to win at home for the first time this year.

In other Leeds United news, Daniel Farke undoubtedly has the final laugh when video of a player worth more than £20 million surfaced during the previous week.
