The Hatters’ manager confirmed that changes will be made for the Carabao Cup trip to Exeter.
This evening, Town travel to League One Grecians.
Town manager Rob Edwards has stated that he will make changes for tonight’s Carabao Cup third round clash against League One Exeter, while still fielding a team he believes is capable of progressing to the next round.
Town made a lot of changes in the previous round’s 3-2 win over Gillingham, including giving minutes to custodian Tim Krul and midfielder Luke Berry.
With Luton having drawn 1-1 against Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday and then facing another major fixture when they go to Everton this weekend, Edwards may opt for wholesale changes, possibly giving new acquisition Teden Mengi from Manchester United his debut.
“Yes, we will make changes,” he added, “but I look at the depth of the squad and what we have now, and I’m really confident that the team we field will be a team that can win the game.”
“That was the message in the dressing room, really valuing the cup, we want to progress and we want to win the game, but there will be changes yes.”
Krul, Kabore, Mengi, Andersen, Johnson, Giles, Mpanzu, Berry, Chong, Woodrow, and Adebayo are expected to start for Town.
