Pundit thinks Everton’s £26 million player was just ‘amazing’ against Brentford.

Michael Ball lauded Beto for his effort against Brentford.

In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, the former Everton defender described Beto as ‘amazing’ for his role to the club’s first win of the season.

The striker joined the Toffees from Udinese this summer and made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut against Doncaster Rovers in the Carabao Cup.

Beto has started all three of their Premier League games since, although he has failed to record his first goal in the top tier.

However, the forward has looked very potential up top and is expected to be a very good addition, with Ball particularly delighted with him in London.

“I thought Beto was brilliant,” stated the pundit. “All he was missing was a goal, he played outstanding and caused a lot of problems and that’s the level we want at the football club.”

Will Sean Dyche start Dominic Calvert-Lewin over Beto following his goal for Brentford?
Following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury against Aston Villa, Beto assumed his teammate’s spot in the starting lineup, and his performances have kept him in the side despite his teammate’s return to action.

Calvert-Lewin, on the other hand, put up a quality performance from the bench against Brentford, scoring his first goal of the season to earn the three points for the visitors.

The England international will be desperate to restore his spot in the team against Luton Town this weekend, although Sean Dyche has been rumoured to prefer two strikers in the future.

Given the Toffees’ recent troubles in front of goal, it seems like a reasonable idea, though it would be odd to see him change the lineup that produced their finest 90 minutes of the season.

Calvert-Lewin might start the Merseyside club’s Carabao Cup match against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, and he could push his way back in against Luton if he performs similarly against Unai Emery’s side.
