Barcelona is interested in signing Leicester City midfielder

Barcelona is allegedly interested in signing Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City next year.
Despite the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League, the 26-year-old remained with the club over the summer, and he has been a crucial player for the team this season, appearing on 10 occasions in all competitions, scoring three goals and registering one assist.

Ndidi’s contract at the King Power Stadium expires in June of next year, which means he will be free to speak to overseas clubs about a move next summer at the start of 2024.

Barcelona have long admired the Nigeria international and are keeping a careful eye on his position at Leicester, according to Sport.

According to the article, Barcelona wanted to recruit Ndidi “a few years ago,” but were told the midfielder would cost €70 million (£60.7 million).

He will be available on a free transfer next summer, and Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus are among the clubs interested in signing him.

However, Barcelona are rumoured to be interested in a player who joined Leicester City from Genk in 2017 and helped them win the FA Cup and Community Shield during his time there.

Ndidi has appeared on 247 occasions for Leicester in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and contributing 13 assists.

“We let two points slip away because of two serious errors.” “We knew we’d have few chances, and we weren’t able to capitalise on them,” Catalan head coach Xavi told reporters after the league match.

“We must be critical of ourselves.” We must win this type of game. Our team’s stupid error led to Mallorca’s second goal.

“We are to blame for the first goal; we got back into the game, but they scored when we were superior.” It’s our fault; we blew several opportunities when the score was 1-1. I recall Joao [Felix] having one, as did Raphinha… and then they scored the 1-2.

“I believe we outplayed Mallorca, but we must improve.” Last
