West Brom’s star light is set for extended lay-off with Achilles injury

Daryl Dike of Albion appears poised to miss another extended amount of time after suffering an Achilles injury in the comeback triumph at Stoke.
Striker Dike has had some terrible injury luck this season at The Hawthorns, and he appears to have picked up a third significant injury after being stretchered out in first-half stoppage time with his side down 1-0.

However, Jayson Molumby sneaked in a remarkable double after the break to excite the travelling Baggies, giving them their first away win since January 14.

Carlos Corberan said the striker had damaged his Achilles, but Albion will wait before conducting complete examinations and evaluations on the issue.

“It looks like an Achilles injury, and they never really heal,” Corberan added. Achilles injuries are never easy to handle, but we must still assess. However, Achilles injuries are easy to manage.

“I’ve been watching these types of injuries that unfortunately happen, and we need to see how much damage appears, and then we’ll know how many months.”

“I believe that by working with him, we will be able to manage the situation and injury.” This is one of the more rare injuries that has sadly occurred to him, but having a (severe) ailment usually complicates things.”

In his 14 months at Albion, the 22-year-old United States international has already missed time due to hamstring and thigh problems.

He has been back in the Albion team since November, around the World Cup break, and has had his longest run. Dike has seven goals in that period, many of which have been game-winners.
