St Louis City good news that turn up to be worst

Score, highlights, and goals from Parker and Klauss help St. Louis City win their inaugural MLS match.
In the inaugural MLS match for the expansion team, St. Louis SC defeated Austin FC 3-2 on the road thanks to a late goal by Joo Klauss at Q2 Stadium.

Joo Klauss’ late winner gave St Louis City SC a 3-2 road triumph over highly-touted Austin FC on Saturday, giving the club a dream start to life in Major League Soccer.

Tim Parker, a defender for St. Louis, made MLS history at Q2 Stadium by scoring the first-ever goal for the Missouri team to give the visitors a lead in Texas during the first half. Parker climbed highest at the near post to head the ball home from a right-wing corner beyond Austin custodian Brad Stuver.

Watch the momentous occasion:
Austin rallied to turn the scoreboard around, with Sebastián Driussi tying the game in first-half stoppage time and Jon Gallagher making it 2-1 for the home team with just under 20 minutes remaining.

Klauss, though, gave St. Louis a dramatic victory with only five minutes remaining after Jared Stroud had quickly tied the score against his former team.

Next up for St. Louis is their first MLS home game.
Now that they are the 29th team in the top men’s football league in America, the newcomers are focused on playing at home for the first time. On Saturday, March 4, kickoff for the game between Bradley Carnell’s team and Charlotte FC is scheduled at 8:30 p.m. ET.

On matchday two, Austin is once more at home. The Verde and Black will host CF Montréal on Saturday, March 4, at 8:30 p.m. ET.
