Cowboys lose WR Allen Hurns to gruesome left leg injury,

Cowboys WR Allen Hurns suffers a terrible left leg injury, and Fox refuses to show replays.
Allen Hurns of the Dallas Cowboys suffered a left leg injury in the first quarter of their wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Hurns was hauled down by Bradley McDougald at the conclusion of a 14-yard grab on third-and-7, and his left ankle/lower leg bent at a horrible angle.

Fox will not broadcast a replay.
The injury was severe. Fox play-by-play announcer Joe Buck winced loudly, and the network only showed one repeat of it.

The game was stopped for many minutes while medical personnel attended to Hurns and placed him onto a stretcher and then the cart to be transported off the field. Dallas coach Jason Garrett was on one knee next to Hurns, clutching his hand, while other teammates and Seahawks players prayed, offered a handshake, or tapped fists with Hurns.

Here’s a video of the accident, but be warned: it’s not for the faint of heart:

Hurns has been sidelined due to injuries.
Hurns inked a free-agent contract with the Cowboys in the summer, leaving the Jacksonville Jaguars after four seasons.

Hurns missed six games due to injury in 2017, and five in 2016.

He was primarily a reserve for Dallas, appearing in all 16 games but starting only seven, with 20 catches for 295 yards and two scores.

Jean-Jacques Taylor, a longtime Cowboys reporter who is heard on radio and television in the area, tweeted that he had queried Hurns about his lack of playing time, and Hurns responded, “I was pretty much hurt two years in a row.” I don’t let anything or anyone take away my enjoyment of playing.”
