‘They’ve confirmed’: Wolves duo walking and sitituation is clear

‘They’ve confirmed it,’ says the Wolves duo, as a journalist clarifies the situation.

Wolves have two players who are one booking away from being suspended.

So far this Premier League season, it appears that players have been cautioned significantly more frequently than usual.

Changes to the rules have given referees greater possibilities to book players.

It is much easy for gamers to talk themselves into problems now. And even a handful of yards away from the ball can result in a yellow card.

Wolves, like many other Premier League clubs, is piling up yellow cards.

But, with five yellow cards resulting in a one-game suspension, who is at risk of punishment after seven games played…?

Wolves’ Mario Lemina and Nelson Semedo are balancing on a tightrope.
So far, there are two Wolves players facing a one-game suspension.

In the win over Manchester City, midfielder Mario Lemina received his fourth yellow card of the season.

And he got it in a disappointing way, flicking the ball away as City was awarded a free kick.

Semedo was also booked against City.

Many people missed this one because it came right after the last whistle.

It was also overlooked by the media. Even the Premier League’s official website does not appear to have recorded the Semedo booking.

“I did a bit of checking on this,” Liam Keen remarked on the Express & Star podcast. Joao Gomes has three already, and Lemina has four. So if he is booked at Villa, he will miss Bournemouth’s away game.

“And then Semedo… I saw him get booked after the game after talking with Grealish.” It was exactly full-time. I believed I was hallucinating. I witnessed him get arrested and went to every website I could find.

“So I talked to a few people at the club.” They have confirmed that he was arrested. So, with that yellow card against City, Semedo is also on four.”

Suspensions are pending.
So it appears like Wolves will shortly lose both Lemina and Semedo to suspension.

That will be a huge blow, as both players have been outstanding recently.

It will be critical for players like Matt Doherty, Jonny Castro Otto, Boubacar Traore, and Tommy Doyle to be ready when called upon.

In their absence, Gary O’Neil will most likely turn to them.
