JUST NOW: Rangers injury due some issues…..

Rangers’ Kemar Roofe and Nicolas Raskin have travelled with the squad for Thursday’s Europa League match against Aris Limassol and are expected to play some part, according to Steve Davis.

In his news conference prior of the encounter on Thursday (4 October), the Light Blues interim manager confirmed that both players are available for selection after recent injuries.

Roofe, 30, was injured in Rangers’ 4-0 Viaplay Cup triumph against Livingston on Wednesday (27 September), while Raskin has been out for two weeks with a calf ailment.
Rangers are in a critical state of turmoil right now, following Beale’s dismissal on Sunday (1 October), and it has fallen suddenly on Davis’ shoulders to pull them out of this rut.

The decision to break company with Beale came as no surprise, considering the Gers had just suffered a terribly dismal 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen.

Such outcomes are unacceptable, especially given what happened at Ibrox and the Dons’ struggles this season.

Rangers have some important games coming up, both domestically and in Europe, but appointing a current player with no managerial experience at such a level is unusual and might be costly, which is why Davis will need all the skill he can gather at his disposal.

And the news of Roofe and Raskin’s return from injury is undoubtedly a welcome lift for the Light Blues, who are anxious for some light at the end of the tunnel.

Both players bring something special to a group that is now depleted and lacking in confidence, and a win over Aris in Cyprus might shift the tide once more as Rangers executives consider who should be their next manager.

In other Rangers news, an official club partner is looking for a legend to join the new manager’s backroom team.
