Lions injury report: key plaer sits out practice with toe injury

The Detroit Lions’ practise participation report is still as long as a short novel, but on Thursday, ahead of Sunday’s game against Washington, many of the team’s injured players were making progress.

Tight end T.J. Hockenson’s toe injury added a new name to the list, though, and it was a major one. He was one of only two people who choose not to take part in the practise, the other being wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hip).

In his second season, Hockenson has been a crucial component of the offence. In terms of receptions (34) and touchdown catches (five), he is the club leader.

Offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai (foot) and defensive tackle Nick Williams (shoulder), both of whom missed practise on Wednesday, were among the seven players who were limited.

On Thursday, return specialist Jamal Agnew (ribs), offensive lineman Joe Dahl (back), linebackers Jarrad Davis and Christian Jones (knee), safety Jayron Kearse (ankle), and linebacker Christian Jones were also sidelined.

attacking tackle After being limited the previous day, Tyrell Crosby, cornerbacks Mike Ford and Jeff Okudah, defensive tackle Danny Shelton, and safety Tracy Walker all received an upgrade to full participants.
